From late January to mid-May, Dinty will be on leave from his teaching duties at Ohio University, serving as the Mary Rogers Field and Marion Field-McKenna Distinguished University Professor of Creative Writing at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He may or may not also open a restaurant (pictured here.)
His summer teaching dates include:
June 16-22, 2019
The Kenyon Review Writers Workshops, Gambier, Ohio. Eight days in a cozy college town writing, and writing, and writing, and writing. (Also, marvelous student and faculty readings and crisp delicious tater tots.)
August 12-18, 2019
Vermont College Postgraduate Writers’ Conference.Great faculty, brilliant students, in the heart of the Green Mountains, on a peaceful hilltop just a short walk from “downtown” Montpelier, Vermont, the nation’s smallest, and arguably most charming, state capital.
Ongoing
Dinty has recently joined the faculty of the Fairfield University Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing. Fairfield’s MFA cohort gathers twice-per-year for residencies on beautiful Enders Island in Mystic, Connecticut.
